Check-In: All visitors must check in at the Scalehouse upon arrival.
Container Restrictions: Enclosed containers or trucks are accepted. We do accept enclosed trailers, paper will be given at the time of disposal.
Load Requirements: All loads must be tarped or tied down securely. Failure to comply will result in additional fees.
Safety Gear: Safety vests and hard hats must be worn at all times while on-site.
Identification: Drivers must present a valid Driver’s License or government-issued I.D. upon request.
Smoking: Smoking is not prohibited.
Vehicle Requirements: During heavy rainfall events, vehicles must have 4WD and a tow hook to ensure safety.
No Salvaging: Salvaging, scavenging, or loitering is not permitted.
Compliance: Drivers must follow all site rules as enforced by landfill staff, per 30 TAC 330.133.
Rule Changes: Site rules may change at any time at management's discretion.
Waste Policies
Unacceptable Waste: Unacceptable waste is not allowed and will be returned immediately to the transporter, per 30 TAC 330.133.
Rejected Load Policy: Trucks with loads containing 10% unacceptable waste will be rejected.
Wind Restrictions: In winds over 27 MPH, we do not accept light loads, cardboard, trash, or lightweight materials. We adhere to TCEQ/PCQ good neighbor policies and manage mixed piles with sustained winds of 35-40 MPH.
Tire Acceptance: We can only accept processed tires; currently, we are not accepting whole tires.
Boat Restrictions: Boats are accepted only if they do not contain fuel tanks or motors.
CFC Restrictions: No CFC is accepted unless it has been evacuated with state-approved equipment.
Tank Acceptance: Tanks are accepted as long as they have been triple washed and are free from any liquid.
Violence: Any form of violence will not be tolerated.
Damage Responsibility: We are not responsible for any damages incurred on-site.
Prohibited Waste
Household garbage (general rule of thumb; if food touched it, it is not allowed)
Tires that are not quartered, split or shredded.
Liquids of any sort, including paints (including solidified paint and paint products)
Absorbent material containing fluids (kitty litter, pads, etc. that has been used for cleanup of spills.
Sealed barrels, containers, totes, etc. Empty containers must be "triple rinsed" offsite prior to acceptance.
Vehicle/ATV/Lawn & Garden Batteries (household batteries, 'D', 'C', 'AA', 'AAA', etc. are permitted).
Electronics larger than a shoe box; Examples are any size TV, monitor, fax machine, printer, computer/laptop or computer parts.
Petroleum based products; including tar, oils, adhesives, etc.
Fluorescent light bulbs, ballasts, and other bulb types larger than a typical "lamp" bulb.
Dead animals of any size.
Hospital/medical equipment, parts; including x-rays, needles, medications and other "medical" supplies.
